eLearning Technology Roadmap for an Automotive Company

SRIC-BI analyzed an automaker's business and learning needs for service technicians and examined the opportunities for achieving significant new benefits by introducing additional eLearning technology over the next five years. SRIC-BI provided information about key eLearning and technology trends relevant to the manufacturer, assessed key trends relevant to the automaker's eLearning decisions, provided an assessment of current eLearning systems, and developed detailed technology roadmaps of the likely evolution of eLearning technologies over the next five years.
Learning Strategy for a Major Financial-Services Company

SRIC-BI conducted an analysis of the company's eLearning infrastructure, content, and process and provided recommendations for improvement. It assessed eLearning capability against current and near-term learning needs as well as against future needs to scale up—for example, to provide training to business partners. SRIC-BI also benchmarked the financial-services firm against other major eLearning users in the finance, IT, and automotive sectors through a series of in-depth interviews and analysis. SRIC-BI conducted an additional project to evaluate opportunities and logical approaches to outsourcing elements of enterprise learning.
eLearning Market and Opportunity Analysis

As part of a large project for a U.S. eLearning company, SRIC-BI performed an in-depth U.S. eLearning market analysis, including the following: segmentation and screening of numerous markets of interest to the client; estimated market size and growth; strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of client relative to specific segments; market profitability and cost structures of players; distribution channels; key trends and developments. The results of the analysis were a key component in the strategy development for the company, both for product and market planning and for its communications with current and prospective investors.
Learning-Content Market Analysis and Go-to-Market Strategy for a Major Learning-Solutions Provider

SRIC-BI conducted this global strategy assignment to help our client understand how best to define and pursue the learning-content space. The work included in-depth interviews with customers, potential competitors, and likely partners to help develop a segmentation approach and a go-to-market model and roadmap. SRIC-BI also conducted analysis of and made recommendations about how best to acquire and leverage top content partners and how to evaluate the importance of geography and industry and the key issues and opportunities for entering the global learning-content industry.
Strategic Business Plan for a European Technology Incubator

SRIC-BI conducted an opportunity analysis for a new eLearning technology focused on English-language training developed by a European higher-education institution. Primary research involved interviews with potential customers, partners, or publishers of a product or service resulting from the technology. The research provided input to a workshop to develop a strategic business plan, including developing a value proposition, target customer segments, and a business model. The project also addressed commercialization options and helped initiate dialogue with key potential partners.
Analysis of eLearning Opportunities for Japanese Manufacturer

SRIC-BI performed an in-depth analysis of eLearning opportunities in the Japanese market for a large manufacturer with an externally focused business-training division. The analysis included an overview of key market developments in the Japanese eLearning market, an interview-based analysis of five existing/potential competitors and their eLearning plans, an analysis of the client's strengths/weaknesses vis-à-vis those of existing/potential competitors, an identification of potential strategic partners (content and technology) and pros and cons of each potential partner, and development of strategic options for pursuing eLearning business.
Future of Mobile Learning and Knowledge Sharing

SRIC-BI produced an in-depth study of the potential development of a market for mobile learning and knowledge sharing for a well-known international company. The project involved literature searches, expert interviews, brainstorming workshops, the production of a report, and a formal presentation. The project involved international comparisons, including between the United States and Asian countries.
Identifying and Evaluating eLearning Acquisition Candidates in the United Kingdom

SRIC-BI was contracted by a pan-Nordic eLearning vendor to find and evaluate eLearning soft-skill vendors in the United Kingdom. Phase one of the project involved literature searches and contacting experts to identify potential acquisition candidates. In a separate piece of work, SRIC-BI also ran a workshop for this vendor to discuss and evaluate its potential growth strategies.
